The Western Manitoba Youth Choir was formed in 1980 to provide a high-quality experience in choral singing for
high school students who demonstrate strong 
musical ability.

The Western Manitoba Youth Choir is a regional, auditioned choirs that consists of approximately 50 students
from the Westman region, selected from our
audition process. 

The choir runs from mid September to mid October each year, with two 4-day rehearsal camps held at the grounds of Camp Wannakumbac in the beautiful Riding Mountain National Park, and concludes with a 4-day tour of a handful of Westman communities.


WMYC is by a volunteer committee, but we also rely on parent chaperones, community billets, volunteers from each community and YOU to help fund each aspect year after year.
